A primary bathroom rebuilt around a large tiled walk-in shower, with the layout opened up and the finishes chosen to stand up to coastal humidity.
The tub had not been used in years, which is the usual story. It was also the least safe thing in the house to step into, which is the part homeowners tend to mention only after the conversion is done.
We removed the tub, reworked the drain and valve for a shower rather than adapting the old run, waterproofed the area and installed the pan, walls, screen and fixtures.
The room gained usable floor area and lost the daily obstacle. Conversions like this are typically finished in one to three days depending on whether the finish is panels or full tile.
