A primary bathroom rebuilt around a large tiled walk-in shower, with the layout opened up and the finishes chosen to stand up to coastal humidity.
Two people getting ready at the same time is the real design problem in a primary bathroom, and it is usually solved badly. Here the answer was a double vanity with genuine separation between the two stations, plus a tall linen tower so towels and everyday things live in the room rather than down the hall.
The shower runs the length of one wall behind a glass screen, which keeps the daylight moving through the space instead of walling half of it off.
Timber-toned cabinetry against white walls and black hex floor tile keeps the room warm rather than clinical, which is a harder balance to strike in a bathroom than people expect.
